MEET OUR FOUNDER

About the Artist

Blair is the founder and sole artist behind Macra Madam, as well as a mother, a wife and a native New Orleanian who now lives in Sacramento, California. Inspired by the downtime that the Covid pandemic brought in 2020, Blair turned to the meditative art of macrame to help her idle hands. What started as a way to pass the time turned into a passion for fiber art and the comfort it brings. In a world of mass-made factory art, Blair's art seeks to remind you of your individuality and the stories that only handmade art can tell. Made with materials that will stand the test of time, each knot is made with love, intention and the hope that it will bring a little magic and joy to you and your home.
